Derek Ray Serna-Gallegos is an adult cardiac surgeon in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He serves as the Program Director of the Advanced Aortic and Endovascular Surgery Fellowship at UPMC.
Dr. Serna-Gallegos completed his cardiothoracic surgery training at UPMC and was recruited to remain on faculty following his training. His clinical and research focus is on diseases of the aortic valve and thoracic aorta.
