Germano Melissano is a Full Professor of Vascular Surgery at “Vita-Salute” San Raffaele University and Director of both the Residency Program in Vascular Surgery and the Postgraduate Master Course in Aortic Surgery at IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele in Milan.
He has performed over 15,000 open and endovascular vascular operations throughout his more than 30-year surgical career. Dr. Melissano has authored over 300 peer-reviewed scientific papers, 18 books, and more than 100 book chapters, accumulating over 13,200 citations with an H-index of 53. He has co-authored professional guidelines for major European and North-American vascular societies.
Dr. Melissano is an active member of leading professional societies and has served as an Honorary Guest Lecturer and Visiting Professor at prominent institutions worldwide, including Stanford University, Washington University in Seattle, and the University of Pittsburgh. He has lectured and presented at international meetings in Europe, the UK, USA, China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Brazil, and Colombia.
