Kaitao Jian is the Chief of Cardiac Surgery and a Professor in the Department of Surgery at The Fifth Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University, where he also serves as an attending cardiac surgeon.
He received his medical degree from Sun Yat-Sen University of Medical Science and completed his PhD at Tianjin Medical University. Dr. Jian trained in cardiac surgery at Tianjin Chest Hospital, China, and completed fellowships in cardiovascular surgery at both Tianjin Chest Hospital and Delta Hospital in Shanghai.
Dr. Jian specializes in aortic surgery, including procedures on the aortic root, aortic arch, thoracic and abdominal aorta, as well as valvular heart disease, ischemic heart disease, and congenital heart disease.
