Bio:
Professor Aung Ye Oo is a consultant cardiovascular surgeon at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, Professor of cardiovascular surgery at Queen Mary University of London. He completed his medical training in Myanmar and later undertook surgical and cardiothoracic training in the United Kingdom. His clinical and academic work focuses on aortic surgery, including acute aortic dissection and complex thoracic aortic disease. He is actively involved in surgical training and international collaboration in cardiovascular surgery. He has authored more than 200 publications and is a regular invited speaker at national and international meetings.
