Shunsuke Matsushima, MD, PhD is Attending Surgeon of Cardiovascular Surgery at Kobe Children’s Hospital, Japan. After his residency in Kobe, he trained as an assistant surgeon at Saarland University Hospital, Germany, under the direction of Prof. H-J. Schäfers. His clinical practice encompasses all aspects of congenital heart disease, with an emphasis on aortic valve repair, right ventricular outflow tract reconstruction, and repair of aortic arch obstruction.
