Professor Michael A. Gatzoulis, MD, PhD, FESC, FACC is the Academic Head of CHD and PAH, and Clinical Lead for ACHD at the Royal Brompton and Professor of Cardiology at Imperial College, London. Professor Gatzoulis has published extensively (> 490 peer-reviewed papers, including papers in the NEJM, Lancet, EHJ and Circulation) and edited/co-edited 10 textbooks including the “Diagnosis and Management of Adult Congenital Heart Disease”, 4th Edition. He is the Founding Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Cardiology Congenital Heart Disease and a Deputy Editor of the EHJ. Professor Gatzoulis runs one of the world’s largest training programs in ACHD. His research focus has been on mechanisms and prevention of heart failure and SCD and management of PAH.
