Full Professor of Pathological Anatomy at the University of Padua

A cardiovascular pathologist by training, she has longstanding experience in cardiac morphology, developmental heart disease, and adult congenital heart disease.

She completed her medical and pathology training in Italy and further specialized in cardiac morphology and pathology in London.

Her career has been dedicated to the study of congenital and structural heart disease, integrating diagnostic pathology, research, and clinical collaboration.

Her expertise also extends to cardiomyopathies, heart failure, transplant pathology, and regenerative medicine.
Professor Angelini has made important contributions to the understanding of CHD pathology throughout childhood and adult life.

She has published more than 320 peer-reviewed papers and is widely invited as a speaker at international scientific meetings.

She is a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and has held major leadership roles in European cardiovascular pathology societies.

Among these, she served as Chair of the ESC Working Group on Developmental Anatomy and Pathology and as President of the Association for European Cardiovascular Pathology.

Her work continues to support advances in the pathology and multidisciplinary management of congenital heart disease.
