For more than three decades, Anthony Estrera, MD, FACS, has specialized in treating diseases of the aorta, specifically focused on thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms and aortic dissection. He has authored or co-authored more than 400 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in the field of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. He has also been an invited lecturer and presenter at nearly 500 seminars and symposiums across the United States and abroad, providing integral training to cardiovascular surgeons worldwide. This includes multiple trips to China, where his teaching and demonstrations over the past two decades has helped establish many country standards in aortic surgical care. In addition to contributions as author, he is an invited reviewer to many of the field’s most renowned publications, including Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery, Annals of Thoracic Surgery, Annals of Vascular Surgery, Circulation, Journal of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery, and European Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery.
